I was in my Saturday meeting when I missed the long distance phone call from the man I never say no to, probably when I went to the toilet. He doesn’t have a celphone to call back.

I referred a potential web server client that includes 8 servers. That should benefit me on a monthly basis through the life of the contract once signed, unless the referrer business plays unfairly and tries to deny me what I’m owed.

Have watched more TV (football) today than in many a day.

I slept until after 10 am today, rare for me.

Aside from the fact that I’ve been working on my art, which is rarely shown in Miami, my computer/internet activities have much more respect (again) out of Miami where Broward Cultural Division has given me support by being part of my meetup, listed below.

I’m co-organizer of the below group as well as several other web/computer groups all organized by my partner, MiamiPHP.org. I bet if all these galleries that have redesigned their sites to 100% Flash would have learned something critically important before they made their decisions if they had talked to my network of computer professionals. Of course, things are not too late to be changed, if they wanted to.

Miami Web Development Meetup & How to

This is a new weekly Saturday afternoon meet-up that is oriented in bringing a deeper level of understanding between all new open source web technologies and how they interact to deliver quality services and products in Data Center / Colocation Server environments. I will be sharing my own personal development techniques and interested in exchanging techniques with other developers who use open source software. We are also asking that graphic designers, Copywriters, and Network Consultants to attend. This will be a great way to help build your team, understand the technologies and know the players in our local market.

Went to a meeting of the American Creativity Assn. last night. It’s a new chapter, just starting up but, had an interesting mix of people, most not involved with the arts and, many educators. It will be interesting to see where I fit into that. I have so much going on right now. I’m up early this Saturday morning preparing for the technology meetup for today: Miami Web Dev Meetup & How To. If I didn’t mention it already, it’s an outgrowth of Paul’s computer/ web dev/ programming meetups with the goal of offering people servers to rent/lease from the data center where we’re meeting. But, there will be people there as well to share their tech skills with some kind of demo, and a data center tour at the end.

I might be heading back to Philadelphia this month. I’m awaiting word from the community organization that put together the exhibition that i was part of.

I’ve also been asked to assist in curating an exhibition in Palm Beach County. One of my former students is part of the organization that is putting this together although, she didn’t contact me about it. This is an interesting prospect.

I got tired of the header image on Artlab33.com so, I search my recent images for one that I thought was kind of kewl. Other things are still in flux with many project deadlines lining up. I can’t believe how my art is in demand, such as that is, while I haven’t sent out a proposal to a specific venue or agency. I do have work up for my faculty exhibition that I need to take pics of. It’s more of an installation than strictly photography although, it is just that: reels of film of still images taken by the state and federal gov’t in the 70s and, my photos on mylar.
