Just a little necessary reminder of what I should be doing when I get to the gallery. Early in the day I need to take care of gallery stuff: email, graphics, phone calls, etc. Later afternoon/ evening: making art! I’ll need to do a major renovation of space in order to do this, however, it MUST get done.
I got two emails today about some interesting possibilities for public art projects. One is photographic oriented, the other is temporary art for Atlanta’s new Beltline rail system that will encircle the city when finished. The problem is that both deadlines are very close together (March 2010) and I doubt I have enough time to research Atlanta in order to make a realistic proposal.
It’s time to get physical with my drawing again. I know that’s been one of the reasons for my recent direction. I’m trying to make enough space to work again. I have too much to do lately…
