BarCampMiami 2009 was yesterday. I went last year and met a ton of interesting web people. This year I was able to reconnect (with those from other states and countries). Probably the funniest thing that happened was when I went up to the guy called, Dave692, told him I thought his nickname was a joke on LiveJournal until about 9 months ago or so when I learned he was a real person. He said that his former co-workers at LiveJournal put that up there because they used to joke with him all the time. He’s a nice guy but very big and tall (which you can never tell just looking at a head shot). He was there with FactoryJoe (Chris Messina) who works for OAuth and one of the really smart web guys out there. He put forth the idea of using hashtags (#) on Twitter.
Just some of the attendees at the end of the day.
