I made an apple pie for Thanksgiving yesterday that turned out much better than expected (because I prepped the apples and made them softer than I wanted).
I had a few apples left over but, when I took my neighbor to the train to catch his flight out of town, I stopped for more to make another but, it turned into two, not one. They’re in the oven right now. I’ll take them to my party tomorrow.
Fifteen minutes later, they out of the oven cooling. I stopped this post when I smelled it was ready.
I now need to attempt finishing this stupid article I’ve been trying to write today. Even more than that, I need to get totally prepared for tomorrow’s party. I need to buy some snack food and some vodka and/or rum. The party is BYOB but, I’ll provide a bit of stuff. The venue changed from free to rent. I don’t even know if my friends shared to party posting on Facebook and Meetup. I asked them to several times but, it is a holiday weekend.

Not very exciting but, I spent lots of time today making a set of flashcards so that I can learn, no remember, some of the programming I’ve been working on. It’s difficult trying to remember which language I’m supposed to use and its syntax.
I need to confirm my party venue tomorrow. Things are, unfortunately, up in the air based on what some stupid condo resident did. Maybe our (Paul, Pedro, and myself) have had a good enough track record to be allowed to used the pool as reserved. Otherwise, I’ll have to tighten up the two other venues I called last week. And, I haven’t even sent out a mass email to my newsletter list because of the situation. Something needs to give.

This may be news to most of you but, among most African Americans I know, having some European ancestry comes as no surprise. As a matter of fact, I have relatives in Georgia that refuse to recognize any relative they know with African ancestry. That’s really silly in some ways because recessive genes do eventually manifest themselves. I’ve known a few “white” people with “black” features and have wondered about such things.

two students turned in projects that are among the best I’ve ever seen, student or not. Outstanding!
