I was thinking about what to do for my proposal, meaning what format: drawing, photo, composite, etc., when I current walked into the lab and asked to use the paper cutter. I told him he needs to use the right tools for the job (cutting matte board) and loaned him my box cutter and stainless steel straight edge that I bought myself back in the early 70s. It still looks brand new and, it has had lots of use. I take care of my tools!
Anyway, his interruption while prepping something to eat got me back to opening shoeboxes and pulling out little pieces of organic objects I’ve stored away because I think they’re beautiful. Such a pack rat I am but, I make not bones about it. It is what it is. The only object bigger than 2 inches that I photographic is the one above.
Tomorrow morning I’ll start fresh and attack my proposal with some drawings and the photos should designate the locations of where my art should be placed the the rich, black, mud of the small mangrove tidal area of my project.
postscript: Are they no questions for me as the month of answering questions ends soon? I’m open to most any question so, ask if you care to. I’ll be as honest as I can in answering… I wouldn’t lie anyway.
