I can tell the next few months will be more than a little stressful. Miamiartexchange.com has some high community expectations. I hear it all the time. I like to do more than write little short overviews of shows but, if that’s all the time I have there is no other choice. I do want something of quality there though.

Then, I have a web design client that talks way more than is needed to get a job completed. Tonight I was on the phone with her for over an hour when it probably could have been said in much shorter time. We’re up close to the price I quoted for fixing her site, which was TOTALLY screwed up.

I don’t think I mentioned getting a new printer. I had been using an old Lexmark Z53 printer that belongs to the univ. I needed a printer so, I brought it home. I have a HP photo printer in my office. I bought a Dell 944 all-in-one printer only because of the faculty discount price. I made some prints and was totally amazed at the glossy prints. I prefer matte paper and that paper requires a different image saturation than glossy. I haven’t got it totally figured out but, I like the prints much better than I thought I would at the purchase time. (Maybe CB will request a print now…)

I made a new batch of mushroom prints that I’ll scan and create with. Create something other than just a plain print although, that is also a possibility if the configurations are interesting. Maybe I should look at some close ups… Anyway, new things are formulating here.

Can you tell me more about these mushroom prints?

Look back a few days in my LJ to see some of the images I’ve scanned or taken with my camera. They are made from the spores of the mushrooms. The last batch was done on transparent material so that I can scan them. What else do you want to know? What species? You can use even the store bought button mushrooms to make spore prints but, I used wild ones growing after our rains.
