Moon snails, if I’m not mistaken?
I haven’t seen or thought about them since I left the east coast.
I remember the odd thrill that rushed through me when I learned that they were predatory, feeding mostly on clams through a small, perfectly round hole that they make with their specialized, rasp-like tongue.
It scares me a little that I can recall this sort of information from when I was eight but I can’t remember to file my federal financial aid forms for college once a year.
Wow, that’s interesting. I was reading tonight about equiangular spirals, which is more in my mind lately than the species. Actually, I don’t know much about these. Time for some more study I’d say.
